Artist Talk: Esther Saura Muzquiz

Please join us Thursday June 1 17—18PM when artist Esther Saura Muzquiz talks aabout her work with cave paintings and Paleolithic art in the Altamira Cave in Spain.

The talk is prompted by Melanie Kitti’s new solo exhibition, Lumps, lumps, lumps become bumps on my tongue, employing the historic wall painting technique ~ fresco ~ as one of her main means of expression.

The talk will be held in English and is free of charge, as is admission to all of O—Overgaden’s exhibitions. 

Esther Saura Muzquiz (ES) is based in Oslo. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Screen Cultures at the University of Oslo, and working at the National Academy of the Arts (KHIO). She is educated from the University Complutense in Madrid and the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, Utrecht (HKU). She has previously worked at STANDARD (OSLO) and SCHLOSS. From 2003 to 2010 Saura Muzquiz was part of the research group “Palaeolithic Art” at the University Complutense in Madrid.
