As part of the 2027 exhibition program, O—Overgaden is proud to present a large-scale solo exhibition by Hannibal Andersen opening on Friday 26 February 2027 and running through Sunday 2 May 2027.

Hannibal Andersen (b. 1985, DK) is a visual artist based in Copenhagen. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (2017) and has exhibited at venues including the Bank and Savings Museum (Bank- og Sparekassemuseet), Copenhagen (2026); Malmö Konsthall, Malmø (2025); Vermilion Sands, Copenhagen (2023); P.A.D. Projects, New York (2023); and Den Frie Centre for Contemporary Art, Copenhagen (2023). Alongside his exhibition practice, he has realized public commissions for Til Vægs, Copenhagen (2024); F.eks., Aalborg (2022); and Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2022).

Andersen has been awarded honary grants from Den Hielmstierne-Rosencroneske Stiftelse and Niels Wessel Bagges Kunstfond. He has been an artist in residence at the Danish Institute in Rome (2025), ISCP in New York (2023) and Arthaus in Havana (2022). The exhibition at O—Overgaden is Hannibal Andersen’s first institutional solo show in Copenhagen.
