Yalda Afsah (b. 1983, DE) is a German Iranian artist educated from Berlin University of the Arts (2024), California Institute of the Arts (2012) and the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle (2008). Afsah lives and works in Berlin and has exhibited at venues including Ca’Buccari, Venice (2026); CCA, Berlin (2026); Deichtorhallen, Hamburg (2024), JOAN, Los Angeles (2023), Between Bridges, Berlin (2023), Halle für Kunst Steiermark, Graz (2022) and Kunstverein München (2022).

Afsah is a mentor for the Berlin program for artists (BPA) and professor of time-based media at HFBK Hamburg. The exhibition at O—Overgaden is Yalda Afsah’s first institutional solo show in the Nordic region.
