O—Overgaden is situated in Copenhagen’s city center a short stroll from Kongens Nytorv and across the street from the Christianshavn Metro station. Our address is Overgaden Neden Vandet 17, DK-1414. Bus lines 2A, 31, and 37 also take you to O—Overgaden.

Do you need assistance to visit O—Overgaden? Call O—Overgaden during our opening hours on +45 32 57 72 73, and our art host will come out and help you in.

O—Overgaden provides a stair climber including a manual wheelchair, operated by our staff, which can assist people with little or no walking ability into the building. Please note that not all wheelchair models fit the stair climber. Maximum load is 160 kg. O—Overgaden has four manual wheelchairs available for use at the opening and the first week of the exhibition period (25 May-2 June).

O—Overgaden’s stair climber is a temporary solution for accessing the building. O—Overgaden is currently working to establish improved access to its building which is included in the Danish Conservation Act of 1918 (Fredningsloven). We are collaborating with Rønnow architects on a lift solution through the main entrance to O—Overgaden’s ground floor as well as an elevator connecting to the other floors.

Access to O—Overgaden’s ground floor is via Christianshavn’s old cobbled streets and through the building’s main staircase, which has three and eight steps on two levels.

We have made a short video showing how to get to O—Overgaden from the metro station at Christianshavns Torv. View the video here

O—Overgaden’s multifunctional event and social space, O—Rooom, designed by Filip Berg, is a space for communal culture, artistic exchange, book sales, live acts, debate, dancing, and all the impromptu informalities in between.
It is also possible to book O—Room (or our more intimate meeting room as an alternative) for private meetings, seminars, or receptions. Please contact O—Overgaden for more details
